Thus, it is necessary to compare it with the patient's clinical history, due to the changing evolution of the disease and the concurrence of other pathologies or background conditions that could mask the true pathological picture. It is then understood the importance of considering all the circumstances that surround the patient, such as the pathological antecedents (data obtained from the history) which serve for a correct interpretation of the picture that afflicts the patient. Laboratory tests are tests based on the study of samples of body fluids and tissues to determine biological and biochemical states. The data obtained is reported in writing or online, prior registration in the work office. These serve to confirm or rule out diagnoses, determine and control treatments and identify the evolution of pathophysiological events. The normal values ​​depend on the method, the chemical reagents used, the taking of the sample, its conservation, its correct handling and the care or transfer that avoids contamination. A common practice when caring for patients in health services is for the personal physician to request laboratory tests. For its part, the nursing staff is responsible for accompanying the patient to comply with the request, the taking of samples. The laboratory staff is in charge of taking them and as soon as the results are available, the nurse becomes aware of them and must know how to interpret them in order to communicate them urgently to the medical staff. depending on the circumstances, whether it represents an emergency or not, to take joint actions with other health professionals, so that the danger can be reversed and help maintain the patient's homeostasis.
