The catalytic properties in the gas- and liquid-phase were investigated and compared using model substrates (anisole, phenol, guaiacol). In-situ methods have been used to study the formation, decomposition and regeneration of the active phase (MoOxCyHz) under reaction conditions, which is subject to high dynamics and accumulated through the use of nickel modification.
