Two-dimensional gas chromatography TOFMS was performed to provide in-depth molecular information on these complex organic mixtures. This thesis highlights the importance of a complementary experimental and analytical approach and makes a valuable contribution towards understanding the relationship between the toxicological effects and chemical composition of aerosols.
