The discharges were studied with regard to the pulse parameters, namely amplitude, edge steepness, and pulse duration, as well as the conductivity of the water by means of electro-optical and electro-chemical single discharge diagnostics. The characteristics of hydrogen peroxide production could be explained by the development of the discharge filaments. The energy efficiency was determined by the dielectric time constant of the system.
