AB  - New serodiagnostic formats for the detection of influenza virus and NDV infections were established and validated. Here, several recombinant proteins of influenza A virus and ND virus were expressed via bacterial expression systems. Authentic folding of these proteins was achieved in vitro. These recombinant proteins served as antigens in indirect ELISA assays or in Luminex bead-based liquid arrays. It is demonstrated that serological assays based on these recombinant proteins are potential alternative methods to classical yet difficult to standardize hemagglutination inhibition assays.<eng>
