For this synthesis, mainly catalytic hydrogenations and reductive aminations are used, which allows for the cost-effective and practical access to different kinds of amines including drug targets and intermediates. The detailed characterization of nanostructured catalytic materials by TEM, EDX, XPS, XRD, EPR and Mössbauer spectroscopy as well as molecularly defined complexes by NMR and X-ray crystal structure is presented.
