Subsequently, the influence of strain potentials is investigated as a means to induce trapping potentials for the Rydberg excitons. Furthermore, an analysis of the transition matrix-elements of excitonic transitions between states of the yellow, green and blue series is provided. Finally, the influence of a possible background of charged impurities on the excitonic absorption spectra is assessed.
