  <abstract type="Summary">Marine sediment transport is governed by the complex interplay of many different processes. Near sloping topography, sediment transport can be triggered by asymmetries in the density stratification during an oscillatory current going up and down the slope. This newly discovered process was investigated in detail by means of an idealized numerical model. A more profound numerical model was used to successfully reproduce observations of this process from the East China Sea, and to investigate the effect of Earth rotation.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Mariner Sedimenttransport wird durch das komplexe Zusammenspiel verschiedener Prozesse bestimmt. Nahe eines geneigten Bodens kann Sedimenttransport durch Asymmetrien in der Dichteschichtung während einer oszillierenden Strömung entlang des Hanges hervorgerufen werden. Dieser neu entdeckte Prozess wurde mit Hilfe eines idealisierten numerischen Models untersucht. Weiterhin erlaubte ein komplexeres Model die Reproduktion von Messdaten aus dem Ostchinesischen Meer, in denen Hinweise für diesen Prozess sichtbar waren, und die Analyse von Erdrotationseffekten.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
