  <abstract type="Summary">This study develops a business case for a hybrid waste-to-energy (HWtE) system integrating solar PV, anaerobic digestion, and pyrolysis in Ghana. A case study combines bibliometric analysis, techno-economic assessment, and life cycle assessment to evaluate feasibility, environmental performance, and scalability. Results show that viability depends strongly on scale, financing, waste quality, and product mix, with combined energy and alternative fuel/material pathways performing best. HWtE achieves up to 3.5 t CO₂-eq savings per tonne of waste compared to landfilling.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Diese Studie entwickelt eine Wirtschaftlichkeitsbewertung für ein hybrides Waste-to-Energy-System (HWtE) mit Photovoltaik, anaerober Vergärung und Pyrolyse in Ghana. Eine Fallstudie kombiniert bibliometrische Analyse, technoökonomische Bewertung und Ökobilanz zur Bewertung von Wirtschaftlichkeit, Umweltwirkung und Skalierbarkeit. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Tragfähigkeit stark von Anlagengröße, Finanzierung, Abfallqualität und Produktmix abhängt. Gegenüber der Deponierung werden Einsparungen von bis zu 3,5 t CO₂-Äquivalenten pro Tonne Abfall erzielt.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
