  <abstract type="Summary">This thesis presents an open-source platform designed to support the rapid development of application-specific environmental monitoring systems in marine contexts, particularly for non-expert users. Its modular hardware and software architecture enables flexible and robust prototyping. The platform’s effectiveness is demonstrated and evaluated through prototypes developed for aquaculture, environmental monitoring, trawl fisheries, and deep-sea mining applications.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Diese Arbeit stellt eine Open-Source-Plattform vor, die die Entwicklung anwendungsspezifischer Umweltmonitoringsysteme im marinen Kontext erleichtert – insbesondere für Nicht-Expert*innen. Durch ein modulares Hard- und Softwarekonzept lassen sich robuste Sensorsysteme für unterschiedliche Anwendungen schnell und flexibel prototypisieren. Die Wirksamkeit der Plattform wird anhand von prototypischen Systemen in den Bereichen Aquakultur, Umweltmonitoring, Schleppnetzfischerei und Tiefseebergbau demonstriert und bewertet.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
