This dissertation is mainly focused on the development of new carbonylation reactions toward green synthesis of aliphatic carboxylic acid derivatives. Transition metal-catalyzed carbonylative coupling is one of the most efficient methods for accessing carboxylic acid derivatives. In recent years, as the concept of green chemistry has taken hold, utilizing abundant andinexpensive metals to replace noble metals has become a key strategy for carbonylative coupling.<eng>
