Fatigue is a prevalent symptom in liver cirrhosis (LC) patients, but its causes and management remain unclear. This study aimed to evaluate fatigue prevalence, explore its associations and identify biomarkers in LC patients while observing the effect of intensified nutritional therapy. Among 56 LC patients, 68 % experienced fatigue, linked to anxiety, depression and loneliness. Key predictors of fatigue in LC patients included gait speed, waist circumference and Insulin-like growth factor-1. Intensified nutritional therapy may help alleviate fatigue presenting potential investigation area.<eng>
Fatigue ist ein häufiges Symptom bei Leberzirrhose (LZ) Patienten, deren Ursachen und Behandlung jedoch unklar sind. Ziel der Studie war es, die Prävalenz von Fatigue zu bewerten, ihre Zusammenhänge zu untersuchen und Biomarker bei LZ-Patienten zu identifizieren. 68 % der LZ-Patienten, litten unter Fatigue. Diese war mit Ängstlichkeit, Depression und Einsamkeit verbunden. Wichtige Prädiktoren der Fatigue bei LZ-Patienten waren Gehgeschwindigkeit, Taillenumfang und Insulin-like Growth Factor-1. Intensivierte Ernährungstherapie könnte Fatigue lindern und ist ein potenzielles Forschungsfeld.<ger>
