  <abstract type="Summary">This study focused on histone modifications and their role in epithelial cell models MAC-T and pbMEC exposed to mastitis pathogens Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Main insights were gained by molecular techniques, including N-ChIP-qPCR, RNA-seq, and X-ChIP-seq. Both cell types upregulated immune genes in response to pathogen contact. The findings revealed significantly different gene expression and peaks for H3K4me3 and H3K27me3 between MAC-T and pbMEC. Moreover, the genome-wide data indicated epigenetic control of upregulated genes after the Escherichia coli challenge in pbMEC.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Der Fokus lag auf Histonmodifikationen und ihrer Rolle in Epithelzellmodellen MAC-T und pbMEC, die den Mastitiserregern Escherichia coli und Staphylococcus aureus ausgesetzt waren. Die wichtigsten Erkenntnisse resultieren aus molekularen Techniken wie N-ChIP-qPCR, RNA-seq und X-ChIP-seq. Beide Zelltypen exprimieren nach Erregerkontakt Immungene. Signifikant unterschiedliche Genexpressionen und Peaks für H3K4me3 und H3K27me3 zwischen MAC-T und pbMEC wurden gemessen. Die genomweiten Daten zeigten z.T. eine epigenetische Kontrolle der hochregulierten Gene nach Escherichia coli-Kontakt in pbMEC.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
