The comprehensive chemical description of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) of complex drugs is an analytical challenge. This also applies to bituminosulfonates. This study addresses the in-depth chemical description of the APIs and their characteristic manufacturing process via applying and adapting comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry (GCxGC HR-MS). As a result, it describes comprehensively and in detail the chemical identity of the bituminosulfonates and their manufacturing process at the molecular level.<eng>
Die umfassende chemische Beschreibung der Wirkstoffe komplexer Arzneimittel stellt eine analytische Herausforderung dar. Dies gilt auch für Bituminosulfonate. Die Arbeit fokussiert sich auf die detaillierte chemische Beschreibung der Wirkstoffe und des definierenden Herstellungsprozesses mittels Anwendung und Adaption der umfassenden zweidimensionalen Gaschromatographie gekoppelt mit hochauflösender Massenspektrometrie (GCxGC HR-MS). Sie beschreibt sowohl die chemische Identität der Bituminosulfonate als auch den Produktionsprozess auf molekularer Ebene detailliert und umfassend.<ger>
