Peatlands have been degraded due to human activities. This thesis explored soil hydro-physical properties and their spatial characteristics from different peatlands in Germany. Spatial variability of soil properties differed with investigated properties and peatland degradation stages. Soil anisotropy affected water movement and solute transport. Microtopography influenced organic carbon accumulation and nutrient leaching. Formulating rewetting plans and assessing rewetting efforts required considering soil properties and their spatial information, particularly in nutrient release hotspots.<eng>
Moore wurden durch menschliche Aktivitäten degradiert. Diese Arbeit erforschte Bodenhydro-physikalische Eigenschaften und räumliche Merkmale in deutschen Mooren. Die räumliche Variabilität der Bodeneigenschaften differierte je nach untersuchten Eigenschaften und Degradationsgrade. Bodenanisotropie beeinflusste Wasserbewegung und Stofftransport. Mikrotopographie beeinflusste die organische Kohlenstoffakkumulation und Nährstoffauswaschung. Wiedervernässungsplan und -bewertung erfordern Berücksichtigung von Bodeneigenschaften und räumlichen Informationen, besonders in Nährstoffaustrags-Hotspots.<ger>
