  <abstract type="Summary">This dissertation on the ionization-induced nonlinear radiation response of large bandgap dielectrics provides (i) the identification of the dominant contribution of ionization-induced low-order harmonics based on the so far overlooked injection current, (ii) the demonstration of opportunities for monitoring ultrafast plasma generation by non-perturbative wave mixing, and (iii) the identification of potentials for sub-cycle plasma generation using tailored laser fields for the generation of optically controlled sub-wavelength structures for laser materials processing.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Diese Dissertation zur ionisationsinduzierten nichtlinearen Strahlungsantwort dielektrischer Festkörper mit großer Bandlücke liefert (i) die Identifikation des dominanten Beitrags ionisationsinduzierter Harmonischer niedriger Ordnung anhand des bisher unberücksichtigten Injektionsstroms, (ii) Beobachtungmöglichkeiten ultraschneller Plasmaerzeugung durch nicht-perturbative Wellenmischung und (iii) zeigt Potenziale auf für die Subzyklenplasmaerzeugung mittels maßgeschneiderter Laserfelder zur optisch kontrollierten Subwellenlängenstrukturierung in der Lasermaterialbearbeitung.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
