1 Online-Ressource (16 Seiten) Der hiermit vorgelegte Beitrag knüpft an bisherige Forschungen zum antifaschistischen Gründungsmythos als systemkonsolidierendem Narrativ der DDR an. Er richtet den Blick auf den Deutschunterricht, um zu ermitteln, inwiefern der in Lehrplänen und Unterrichtshilfen nahegelegte Beitrag der Unterrichtsarbeit zur Mythenstiftung Eingang in praktisches Handeln von DDR-Lehrkräften fand. Dabei kann anhand der Beschäftigung mit den literarischen Texten „Das siebte Kreuz“, „Nackt unter Wölfen“ und „Die Abenteuer des Werner Holt“ in den 1960er, 1970er und 1980er Jahren gezeigt werden, dass der Literaturunterricht tatsächlich zentrale Mytheme aufgreift, hierbei vor allem die zwingende Verbindung von Kapitalismus und Faschismus, die Einordnung der Arbeiterklasse als grundsätzlich antifaschistisch und größte Gegnerschaft der Faschist*innen und die Präsentation der Kommunist*innen als einzige wahre Führung des deutschen Antifaschismus. Gleichzeitig kann der Beitrag Veränderungen hinsichtlich der mit dem antifaschistischen Gründungsmythos verbundenen Erziehungsziele aufzeigen und damit eine bislang nicht erfolgte Ausdifferenzierung der mythenstiftenden Unterrichtsarbeit vornehmen.<ger> This article ties in with previous research on the anti-fascist founding myth as a system-consolidating narrative of the GDR. It focuses on German language and literature lessons in order to determine the extent to which the contribution of classroom work to the creation of myths, as suggested by curricula and teaching aids, found its way into the practical actions of GDR teachers. By examining the literary texts "The Seventh Cross," "Naked Among Wolves," and "The Adventures of Werner Holt" in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, it can be shown that the teaching of literature did indeed take up central myths, especially the compelling connection between capitalism and fascism, the classification of the working class as fundamentally anti-fascist and the greatest opponent of fascists, and the presentation of communists as the only true leadership of German anti-fascism.
