  <abstract type="Summary">Dass dem Transitionsprozess von vorschulischen Institutionen in die Schule eine immense Bedeutung zugemessen werden muss, ist international unumstritten. Nicht ganz so einig ist man sich darüber, wie genau dieser Übergang gestaltet werden sollte und in welchem Maße Kindertagesstätten als schulvorbereitende Einrichtungen definiert werden. Der folgende Beitrag fokussiert die stark kontrastierende Entwicklung in der DDR. Anhand eines Konvoluts von 22 Erfahrungsberichten (Pädagogischen Lesungen) aus den Jahren 1963 bis 1988 wird dargestellt, welche Gelingensbedingungen für den Transitionsprozess bereits vor Jahrzehnten in der Praxis der DDR-Kindergartenpädagogik identifiziert und gezielt mit pädagogischem Handeln unterlegt wurden.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">That the transition process from preschool institutions to school must be accorded immense importance is an international consensus. However, there is less agreement on how exactly this transition should be designed and to what extent day care centers should be defined as schoolpreparatory institutions. The following article focuses on the strongly contrasting development in the GDR. On the basis of a collection of 22 field reports (pedagogical readings) from the years 1963 to 1988, it is shown which conditions for success for the transition process were already identified decades ago in the practice of GDR kindergarten pedagogy and specifically underpinned with pedagogical action.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
