  <abstract type="Summary">Air pollution has been one of the biggest environmental issues in the world. Particulate matter (PM) is a very important component of air pollutants. In this thesis, we firstly found PM, collected from different districts, contained diverse PAHs, and exhibited different toxic and mutagenic equivalent. To understand how PM from different sources impact cells and which components play a key role in the observed adverse effects, in vitro experiments on distinct cell types were conducted.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Luftverschmutzung ist eines der größten Gesundheitsprobleme der Welt. Feinstaub (PM) ist ein sehr wichtiger Bestandteil der Luftverschmutzung. Im Zuge dieser Arbeit fanden wir zunächst heraus, dass PM verschiedenen Ursprungs unterschiedliche Zusammensetzungen an PAKs enthielten, die unterschiedliche toxische und mutagene Äquivalente aufwiesen. Um zu verstehen, wie sich PM verschiedenen Ursprungs auf Zellen auswirken, und welche Komponenten bei den biologischen Effekten eine Rolle spielen, wurden In-vitro-Experimente an verschiedenen Zelltypen durchgeführt.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
