  <abstract type="Summary">In der Ozeanografie wird die Meerwasserdichte mit Zustandsgleichungen bestimmt, um Tiefseeströmungen zu simulieren. Die Standardzustandsgleichungen TEOS‑10 und EOS-80 beruhen auf 40 Jahre alten Dichtemessungen an Standardmeerwasser, deren Messunsicherheiten nach dem damaligen Wissensstand abgeschätzt worden waren.Neue hochgenaue Dichtemessungen an Standardmeerwasser werden beschrieben. Die Validierung mit den neuen Dichtemessungen zeigt, dass die Unsicherheit in der Dichte des TEOS‑10 (und EOS-80) sowie die einiger zugrunde liegender Dichtemessungen unterschätzt werden.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">In oceanography, for simulation of deep‑sea currents, the seawater density is determined using equations of state. The standard equations TEOS‑10 and EOS‑80 are based on 40‑year‑old density measurements on standard seawater, whereof the measurement uncertainties had been estimated according to the knowledge at that time. New highly accurate density measurements on standard seawater are reported. The validation using the new density measurements suggests that the uncertainty in density of TEOS‑10 (and EOS‑80) and that of some of the underlying density measurements are underestimated.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
