  <abstract type="Summary">Die Bildung der Beinknospe von Tribolium während der Embryogenese beruht auf der Evagination von Gewebe. Die bei diesem Prozess beteiligten zellbiologischen und molekularen Mechanismen sind weitgehend unbekannt. In dieser Arbeit wurden Faktoren identifiziert, die diesen Prozess maßgeblich steuern: die neuen Gene flipflop1 und flipflop2. RNA-Interferenz Knockdown führt zur Einstülpung der embryonalen Extremitätenknospe und zur Bildung der Körperanhänge im Inneren der Larve. Mit der Identifikation weiterer Kandidatengene konnten die flipflop Gene in Rho-abhängige Signalwege eingeordnet werden.&lt;ger&gt;</abstract>
  <abstract type="Summary">Tribolium develops everted limb buds during embryogenesis. However, the molecular mechanisms directing this process are only poorly understood. Here I show that the newly discovered genes flipflop1 and flipflop2 are involved in regulating the direction of budding. RNA interference-knockdown of the flipflop genes causes embryonic limb buds to grow inwards rather than evert, leading to the development of fully differentiated appendages inside the larval body. The identification of additional candidate genes places the flipflop genes within Rho-dependent signalling pathways.&lt;eng&gt;</abstract>
