Through Hölderlin's Dionysian moment, Nietzsche's Dionysian aesthetic, and the mythopoetic metaphor of the Dionysian for poets such as Pound, Eliot, Rilke, and Valéry, the modern concept of the Dionysian took form and became a central concept in art and literary theory. A discussion of Dionysian discourse in the works of Martin Heidegger and Jean-François Lyotard is also included %L 809.19384 %K Mythology in literature %K Modernism (Literature) %K Romanticism %9 Text
