It was developed to overcome the limitations of conventional DBS systems, especially in terms of functionality, long-term capability, and animal welfare. STELLA combines ultra-low power consumption, dual-channel, current-controlled stimulation, monitoring, wireless communication, and closed-loop functionality in a volume of less than 1 cm³. The work thus establishes a scientifically robust and ethically improved foundation for preclinical DBS research. %L 621.3 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00005771 %U https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005771 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00005771-8 %U https://d-nb.info/1418060097/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005771
