Lithium chloride was found to act as an efficient plasticizer for regenerated cellulose films, increasing the elongation at break sevenfold. Furthermore, [N4,4,4,4]OH is able to dissolve large amounts of chitosan, enabling to create a homogeneous solution of cellulose and chitosan. By adjusting ratios, the biological and physicochemical properties of blended films can be tuned. These films, which degrade rapidly in soil and seawater, offer a sustainable alternative to fossil-based plastics. %L 540 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00005692 %U https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005692 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005692
