This thesis develops an optimization framework to reduce the mass and cost of floating offshore wind turbine substructures. Coupled numerical models and a tailored genetic algorithm evaluate system behavior and identify efficient designs. The approach emphasizes modular, multi-use components to streamline fabrication and installation of floating platforms.
