After harvesting, Elodea biomass remains unused. This thesis aims to explore novel process chains for the anaerobic digestion (AD) to treat, use and add value to Elodea and lignocellulosic wastes focusing on long-term biomass conservation. Investigating two biological processes at laboratory scale: ensiling as a combined conservation and pretreatment method and AD as a bioconversion technique producing biogas.
