This study investigates Heart Rate Variability (HRV) as an objective biomarker for Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A comparison between patients and healthy controls during a simulated EMDR therapy revealed significantly reduced activity in the LF (Low Frequency) and HF (High Frequency) frequency bands in those affected. The results demonstrate that HRV is a valuable tool for analyzing the autonomic nervous system and for the objective differentiation of PTSD patients. %L 004 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00005058 %U https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005058 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00005058-6 %U https://d-nb.info/138882745X/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005058
