The focus of investigating long-term wind dynamics is set on the summer season, and a time series spanning 17-33 years is obtained by combining radars at middle and high latitudes. These measurements are used to investigate the long-term summer length, wind maxima, variability, and oscillations. Significant trends show an earlier onset of the mesospheric summer and changes in the wind circulation at middle latitudes. %L 500 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00004845 %U https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00004845 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00004845-5 %U https://d-nb.info/1370896050/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00004845
