In Germany, the sector's sustainability is challenged by reduced bonuses and changes in crop cultivation policies. This study focuses on enhancing efficiency through advanced reactor technologies like the expanded granular sludge bed (EGSB), particularly for cow and pig manure digestion. Findings suggest that integrating EGSB reactors and optimizing anaerobic co-digestion processes can significantly improve profitability by maximizing methane yield and production rates, suggesting a path toward financial viability. %L 620 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00004560 %U https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00004560 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00004560-5 %U https://d-nb.info/1327914662/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00004560
