In this work, high-order harmonic generation in a topological insulator, a solid-state material that is insulating in its bulk but conducting along its edge, is investigated. The so-called topological edge currents are protected against perturbations to the material and are theoretically dissipationless. The emission spectra of such materials, reported in this work, show features that originate from the topologically protected edge. %L 500 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00004558 %U https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00004558 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00004558-2 %U https://d-nb.info/1323805443/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00004558
