Levulinic acid-derived angelica lactones were used to preapre C3 chemicals such as malonic acid via ozonolysis and novel poly-norbornene-like polymers. Glycolaldehyde, obtained from lignocellulose, was employed for the first time as C1 building block for the N-formylation of secondary amines by catalyst-free radical oxidation. Methyl vinyl glycolate, a side stream product of the production of lactate from sugars, was used as precursor for bio-based polyester. %L 540 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00004058 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00004058 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00004058-0 %U https://d-nb.info/1293539457/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00004058
