Simple 3d metal salts have been used, in combination with N-ligands, to facilitate the oxidative cleavage of C(sp3)–C(sp3) bonds. These reactions have been studied, using spectroscopic methods, to propose plausible mechanistic pathways. We believe such deconstructive strategies can enable late-stage functionalisation of pharmaceuticals and the synthesis of drug metabolites. %L 500 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00003492 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00003492 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00003492-4 %U https://d-nb.info/1293536709/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00003492
