In this thesis, two genetic approaches, the candidate gene approach and genome-wide SNP analysis, were used to investigate the genetic basis of growth traits and milk performance in a Barki sheep population. Genetic variation has been demonstrated for these traits, which can be used to establish specific breeding programs. Understanding the genetics will provide valuable information that will help improve growth and milk performance traits in the Egyptian Barki sheep breed. %L 590 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00003485 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00003485 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00003485-9 %U https://d-nb.info/1293536601/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00003485
