Different vinylalkylimidazolium bromide ionic liquids were used to synthesize membranes and utilize them in aqueous filtration as well as electrodialysis as separation material. Charged substrates such as sugars or dyes were withheld with up to 99% whereby the membrane material was stable up to 2000 hours without a significant loss in efficiency. In electrodialysis, PILs membranes offered a highly stable anion exchange material. %L 540 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00003033 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00003033 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00003033-7 %U https://d-nb.info/1293663670/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00003033
