Tensor-product B-splines are almost exclusively used in this field, but are limited to four-sided surfaces, which in general does not allow to represent complex surfaces such as ship hull forms easily. This thesis introduces generalized B-spline surfaces to overcome the limitation of B-splines to four-sided surfaces and shows how hull form modeling is simplified and quality of results improved based on this surface representation. %L 004 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00002984 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00002984 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00002984-9 %U https://d-nb.info/1293662976/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00002984
