More specifically, oxidative carbonylation of alkynes, alkoxycarbonylation of 1,3-dienes and platinum-catalyzed alkoxycarbonylation of olefins are presented. The resulting esters, maleimides and adipic acid diesters constitute important intermediates for both organic synthesis and chemical industry.
