Aside from the density gradient between the river and the ocean, wind is a key mechanism in estuaries. The present study shows results describing the influence of wind on the estuarine exchange flow. A newly derived analytical formulation of wind-driven along-estuary velocity profiles motivates a critical basic Wedderburn as a measure for the sensitivity of an estuary to wind. %L 500 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00002660 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00002660 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00002660-9 %U https://d-nb.info/1293659460/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00002660
