High power large aperture (HPLA) radars are able to detect the small plasma cloud that is formed around the meteoroid during the ablation process, which is called meteor head echo. In contrast to optical meteor observations, radar systems can measure independent of weather conditions as well as during day and night. %L 520 %9 theses %9 Text %9 Hochschulschrift %R 10.18453/rosdok_id00002311 %U http://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00002311 %U https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-diss2018-0142-5 %U https://d-nb.info/1293653632/34 %U https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00002311
