Grundlage der Datenerhebung ist ein Interview, das mit 28 Betrieben geführt wurde. Die Arbeit beinhaltet verfahrenstechnische und ökonomische Auswertungen zu Einzel-, Gruppen-, Karussell- und Automatischen Melkverfahren. Im Fokus der Untersuchung befinden sich die zum Zeitpunkt der Interviews betriebenen Melksysteme. Zusätzlich erfolgt eine Trendbetrachtung zu fiktiven Neuplanungen.</dc:description>
