Therefore, the genome and transcriptome data of the producer isolate 4Rx13 and the non-producer isolate AS9 were analyzed. The combination of genome and transcriptome data led to a list of potential candidate genes, which were checked for their functional involvement into the biosynthesis of sodorifen by mutagenesis.
