Methodik: Alle Kaiserschnitte von 1997 bis 2003 wurden retrospektiv analysiert. Ergebnisse: Die Sectiofrequenz stieg relativ um ein Drittel. Primäre Sectiones verdoppelten sich, sekundäre verliefen konstant. Erstgebärende nahmen deutlich zu. Absolute Sectioindikationen verliefen konstant, relative stiegen analog dem Gesamtsectioanstieg. Schlussfolgerungen: Der Anstieg der Kaiserschnittfrequenz ist multifaktoriell. Wesentlich sind die Zunahme der Primiparae, der Anstieg der primären Sectiones und die Wunschsectio. Bei den Indikationen dominieren subjektiv determinierte.</dc:description>
