Darst. Phagocytosis, the cellular uptake of particles and pathogens, is an essential function of the innate immune response. In this study, latex beads conjugated to immunoglobulin G, bacterial lipopolysaccharides, mannan or avidin were used to induce the internalization via different phagocytic receptors.
