It was found that the overall deoxygenation during the study period is manifested as the shift in oxygen consumption from the water column to the sediments. In addition, the remote sub-basins receive, at the moment, almost no oxygen from the Major Baltic Inflows. No hysteresis effect was observed in the system's reaction to the reduced nutrient input in sensitivity experiments.<eng> Die Dissertation untersucht die Dynamik des Sauerstoffs in den Tiefenwassern der Zentralen Ostsee über die letzten 70 Jahre und die mögliche Reaktion des Systems auf die reduzierte Nährstoffzufuhr. Der Gesamt-Sauerstoffentzug während des untersuchten Zeitraums manifestiert sich als Wechsel im Sauerstoffverbrauch von der Wassersäule zu den Sedimenten. Außerdem erhalten die abgelegenen Gebiete derzeit fast keinen Sauerstoff aus Major Baltic Inflows.
