The specimens were collected from 58 sites along the Yemeni coastal waters at Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea and Socotra Islands. They were collected from different habitats ranging from sandy shore to mangrove flats and rocky habitats, including different depth zones from the supralittoral zone to 300 m water depth.
