abstract="The relatively peaceful co-existence enjoyed by adherents of different religions in Nigeria following the jih{\^a}d raids of Usman Dan Fodio well into the 1970's was altered at the turn of the decade and early 1980's to violent confrontations between Christians and Muslims including intra-religious riots which have remained unabated to the present. This thesis focuses on the violent clashes between Christians and Muslims and its implications on Christian-Muslim relations within this time frame. Due to {\={I}}s{\={a}}w{\={a}} 's non-involvement in the violent clashes, we examined why and how Christians and Muslims can learn from their insights.",
