This thesis introduces the Discrete Stochastic Model (DStM), a measurement-driven approach achieving 84{\%} higher accuracy and 100x faster simulation than existing models. Integrated into the modular virtual prototyping platform (MeSSi), these contributions enable technology-aware exploration of memristor-based architectures. Ultimately, this work establishes a scalable, reliability-focused methodology for designing the next generation of non-volatile memory and computing systems.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Daniel G{\"u}nther Reiser", note="GutachterInnen: Marc Reichenbach (Universit{\"a}t Rostock, Institut f{\"u}r Angewandte Mikroelektronik und Datentechnik) ; Christian Wenger (BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Institut f{\"u}r Physik) ; Christian Haubelt (Universit{\"a}t Rostock, Institut f{\"u}r Angewandte Mikroelektronik und Datentechnik)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2026", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00005772", url="https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005772", url="https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00005772-4", url="https://d-nb.info/1418060100/34", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005772", language="English" }
