The study revealed that thin microalgae-biocrusts dominated younger dunes. On more stabilized dunes, macrophytic cryptogams were found. The input of organic biomass into the dunes allows for further soil development. Observed soil-forming processes confirm parent material transformation through mineral weathering, including shifts in the phosphorus pools. Biocrusts have the potential to influence the physicochemical conditions of their surrounding habitat.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Sandra Kammann", note="Enth{\"a}lt Zeitschriftenartikel", note="GutachterInnen: Ulf Karsten (University of Rostock, Institute of Biological Sciences, Chair of Applied Ecology {\&} Phycology) ; Michael Bonkowski (University of Cologne, Institute of Zoology, Department of Terrestrial Ecology) ; Bettina Weber (University of Graz, Institute of Biological Sciences, Functional Diversity and Ecology)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2024 Kumulative Dissertation", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00005647", url="https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005647", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005647", language="English" }
