Using NMR with trimethylphosphine oxide probes, Ga and Al doped MCM-41 catalysts were studied. Ga doping produced stronger BAS than Al, while identifying strong Lewis acid sites and weaker BAS in all supports. Unlike zeolites, no (TMPO)2H+ dimers formed, enabling easier impregnation. Fewer acid sites in Ga-MCM-41 reduced branched products. The study showed strong BAS importance in selective butene dimerization and established TMPO-NMR for characterizing mesoporous acid sites.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Mirjam Schr{\"o}der", note="GutachterInnen: Bj{\"o}rn Corzilius (Institut f{\"u}r Chemie, Universit{\"a}t Rostock) ; Angelika Br{\"u}ckner (Leibniz Institut f{\"u}r Katalyse e.V.) ; Lu{\'{\i}}s Mafra (CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials, Aveiro, Portugal)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2025", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00005455", url="https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005455", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005455", language="English" }
