This study examined how alternating electric fields affect the redifferentiation of human chondrocytes from male and female donors. Stimulation at 15--20 V/m increased the Col2/Col1 ratio and promoted rounded morphology, indicating enhanced redifferentiation. Meanwhile, female chondrocytes showed more collagen 1 production and fibroblast-like shape. These results suggest male chondrocytes showed higher tendency towards redifferentiation in response to electrical stimulation.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Zezhong Song", note="GutachterInnen: Rainer Bader (Forschungslabor f{\"u}r Biomechanik und Implantattechnologie, Universit{\"a}t Rostock) ; Jessica Bertrand (Orthop{\"a}dische Universit{\"a}tsklinik mit Endoprothetikzentrum, Universit{\"a}tsklinikum Magdeburg) ; Kirsten Peters (Center for Medical Research (ZEMFO), Institute of Cell Biology, Universit{\"a}t Rostock)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2025", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00005205", url="https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005205", url="https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00005205-6", url="https://d-nb.info/1394543700/34", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005205", language="English" }
