@Book{1963653858, author="Baum, Christoph Ferdinand", title="Function of energy-converting hydrogenases and transhydrogenase in the metabolism of the thermophilic acetogenic bacterium Thermoanaerobacter kivui", year="2024", address="Rostock", abstract="Electron transfer between H$_2$, ferredoxin, NADH and NADPH is essential for the redox balance and energy metabolism in Thermoanaerobacter kivui. The hydrogenases Ech1 and Ech2 are important for energy conservation on H$_2$/CO$_2$ or CO. Deletion of Ech2 impaired growth on pyruvate and CO, but not on sugars. Ech1 could not be completely deleted, but downregulation led to similar effects. Deletion of the electron-bifurcating transhydrogenase NfnAB interfered with growth on all substrates, and mixotrophic growth studies with glucose showed H$_2$-induced growth inhibition.", school="Universit{\"a}t Rostock", note="vorgelegt von Christoph Ferdinand Baum", note="GutachterInnen: Mirko Basen (Mikrobiologie, Institut f{\"u}r Biowissenschaften, Universit{\"a}t Rostock) ; Uwe Deppenmeier (Institut f{\"u}r Mikrobiologie und Biotechnologie, Universit{\"a}t Bonn)", note="Dissertation Universit{\"a}t Rostock 2025", doi="10.18453/rosdok_id00005153", url="https://purl.uni-rostock.de/rosdok/id00005153", url="https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:28-rosdok_id00005153-9", url="https://d-nb.info/1393157092/34", url="https://doi.org/10.18453/rosdok_id00005153", language="English" }
